Fall Wedding Inspiration

Posted by Teresa Coleman on

There is something in the air, wait, its, its.... ah, it is cooler weather. School is back in session, college football - thoughts of pumpkin flavored goodies, orange leaves, apple cider, sweaters - I could go on and on.

There has been a lot of talk lately regarding fall weddings, and not only fall weddings, but how to create a non-rustic fall theme. I mean fall in itself brings to mind country, and rustic, but there are some wonderful ways to have a different kind of fall wedding. Alternative colors that don't scream ITS FALL and glamorous ways to make a fall wedding classy and beautiful and Fall-like, even if you don't like the color orange, which almost seems mandatory at a Fall wedding.

My favorite pumpkins:

From Romancing The Home

and this one from Spotted Ink

and this one

or the popular monogram from dream book design

However, I have to admit I am a huge twig fan and spray paint is a wonderful thing, and so is spray glitter, which means you can go beyond what nature intended and really make them your own.

Imagine this sprayed with some gold, rose gold, or silver glitter with some of those little velvet pumpkins at the base and some little ivory flower buds tucked in here and there...

If you need some color inspiration here is the Pantone Fall 2016 color report. Pantone states

"The desire for tranquility, strength and optimism have inspired a Fall 2016 color palette that is led by the Blue family. Along with anchoring earth tones, exuberant pops of vibrant colors also appear throughout the collections. Transcending gender, these unexpectedly vivacious colors in our Fall 2016 palette act as playful but structured departures from your more typical fall shades. Blue skies represent constancy as they are always above us. Grays give a feeling of stability, Red tones invite confidence and warmth, while the hot Pinkish Purples and Spicy Mustard Yellows suggest a touch of the exotic."

Here are some gorgeous examples using some palette colors without the oranges and yellows one would typically associate with fall:

from Tulle and Chantilly

Pretty nice, eh?

And let's talk about Rose Gold, which is as hot a trend as ever right now, and which seems totally apropos for a fall wedding.

Here are some pieces from the Mariell line we carry:

Elegant Vine CZ Necklace and Earrings Set

 Shimmering CZ Marquis Cluster Earrings

Concentric Ovals Rose gold Wedding Earrings with CZ  if you like something a little more contemporary.

I hope this has given you some inspiration and please feel free to post your ideas and feedback.
